Nature Adventure

A classroom of students may be interested in scheduling a nature tour led by a Central Arkansas Master Naturalist or a Wildwood staff member. This 45-minute to an hour long tour would include a nature hike around Swan Lake where your students would be able to engage in hands-on experience learning about natural elements specific to Arkansas. There are many ways to make this a unique opportunity specific to what your class is studying; from animal habitats to lake ecology we can help design the perfect field trip for your students.

Garden Tour

A garden tour will feature the Park’s amazing natural beauty within its botanical gardens. This walking tour is led by a Central Arkansas Master Gardener or Wildwood staff member and lasts about 45-minutes to an hour. Casually stroll by Swan Lake as you learn more about the magnificent flowers, which depending on the season may include all 13 divisions of daffodils, astounding azaleas, and dazzling dogwoods.

Master Gardeners are people with horticultural skills, a willingness to learn and a desire to help others become Master Gardeners.The following are just a few of the example of jobs done by current Arkansas Master Gardeners: Create and maintain demonstration gardens, conduct school gardening programs, and give talks to groups interested in horticulture. Art in the Park Guided Tour

Experience a current Art in the Park exhibition on a guided walk through of the gallery. This tour may be led by a Wildwood team member or even the artist(s) themselves! Learn about the process and story behind each piece and the perspective of the artist. This tour can be adapted to a group of any age, from elementary school children to adults, and lasts about 45-minutes to an hour. Tours will vary based on the current Art in the Park exhibition, and will be unavailable in between exhibitions.

Theatre Tour

Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in a theatre? A tour of Cabe Festival Theatre features a backstage look at all of the aspects that make for a fantastic production. Experience the lighting booth, orchestra pit, and the scene shop. Led by Angela Collier, Wildwood Team Member and Musical Theatre Professional, students will learn about the mechanics of the theatre, participate in improvisational theatre games, and discover how the director and actors communicate through rehearsals. This 45-minute to an hour long tour is great for children of all ages.
